2024-2025 Youth Basketball Program
***Please register by November 15th, 2024***
Itty Bitty/ Pre-K (3-4 yr olds)- must have been 3 by September 1st:
Learning basketball has never been more fun! This level will introduce the basic skills of basketball (dribbling, passing and shooting) while keeping children engaged with age-appropriate games.
This level will NOT begin until January 2025!
Kindergarten (5-6 yr olds):
Children at this level will work on improving their skills, while beginning to learn the basic concepts of the game. While keeping the children engaged, they will participate in fun, age-appropriate games and drills as well as small sided scrimmages.
This level will NOT begin until January 2025!
Grades 1-2:
Boys and girls at this level will continue to improve their skills with more challenging drills, along with a focus on teamwork. Emphasis will be placed on not only individual skill development but also self confidence and participation as a team player. Players at this level will participate in fun, age-appropriate games as well as small sided scrimmages. This level is co-ed.
This level will NOT begin until January 2025!
Grades 3-4:
Boys and girls at this level will continue to build on their individual skill development as well as good sportsmanship. Emphasis will be placed on basic rules and fundamentals of the game to include positions, how to play offense, defense, and run simple team plays. Games will be scheduled at this level both home and away. (Boy and Girl Teams will be separated.)
Grades 5-6:
Boys and girls at this level will continue to build on their individual skills, fundamentals and sportsmanship. While continuing to build on the concepts of the game, players will also develop an appreciation for fitness and health. Players will participate in more challenging drills, complex plays as well as team building activities. Games will be scheduled at this level both home and away. (Boy and Girl Teams will be separated.)
