Stephanie Ho

Hi! I'm Stephanie Ho (Dewing) and I'm a lifelong resident of Franklin. Actually, my kids are the eighth generation to grow up on the Dewing Farm land! My husband and I built our house in 2007 and have since had three children, two boys, Kaeden and Liam, and a daughter, Hannah. Growing up, I was active in sports, playing Field Hockey, Basketball and Softball, and I still love any opportunity to get out and play! As my children grow, I want to ensure that they have opportunities to pursue any activities that interest them. To that point, I have been active in the community as a Cub Scout leader, Girl Scout leader, PTO member, Vacation Bible School volunteer and Athletic Coach. On occasion, I say I have a volunteering problem! I love to travel and go on adventures with my family, and enjoyed exploring more of Vermont over the past year as our travel opportunities were limited! As an original member of the Franklin Rec Department, I have been thrilled to see so many of our ideas turn into realities over the past few years. I am excited to see our programs continue to grow. I am passionate about being able to offer recreational activities to Franklin residents of all ages.

Stacy Godin

Hello all! My name is Stacy (Sartwell) Godin. Like a couple of my cohorts here on the Rec Department board, I was born and raised right here in Franklin! In my adult life I’ve lived a few other places, including Cape Cod, MA and Edinburg, TX. My husband and I moved back to Franklin late in 2016 where we’ve built a house and live with our 4 children Annabelle, Orin, Ollie and Gwen. Having lived outside our quaint little town I have an even deeper appreciation for my roots and all that Franklin has to offer. Growing up I was always involved in a number of sports and other activities. Now, as a parent, I am keenly aware of the time, effort and commitment that go into creating these kinds of opportunities for our kids and our community. Shortly after moving home I found myself very motivated to be a part of the strong community support that has always drawn me back home. I am so appreciative of the unique environment that I am privileged to raise my children in here in Franklin and I am so proud to be a small part of what we do for our town in the Rec Department. When I’m not busy with Rec business I am a per diem RN in the NICU at UVMMC where I stay up all night caring for precious babies. Outside of work I can be found spending time with my own 4 precious babies and my husband who all make sure to keep me active. We enjoy mountain biking, hiking, and carting our children to and from the various sports they play, often coaching as well. You’ll probably hear me before you see me, as I’ve never been accused of being quiet!

Lissy Bachelder

Hi, I'm Lissy Bachelder! I was born and raised in St. Albans but now I call Franklin my home, along with my husband and our two sons. Growing up I was not gifted in athletics but rather the arts - theater and graphic design. I also volunteered with a St. Albans Girl Scouts Troop, The Ballet School of Vermont and Odyssey of the Mind. I graduated from Gordon College with a BA in Art (graphic design) and am currently a Campaign Specialist at Dealer.com. While I may not be athletically gifted, my husband and sons keep me active and on my toes! I look forward to when they become active participants in the sports and events that the Rec Dept. provides. This community in Franklin is like no other. I am so happy to be able to give back and provide fun (and COVID safe) events for our community members! Fun Fact: I am the only person in my family that has red hair, though we're hoping our youngest's hair will turn red - keep your fingers crossed!

Hi, I'm Bridget Thompson (Denault)! I was born and raised in this small town of Franklin, where now my husband and I raise our two daughters, McKenna and Leah (pictured here). Athletics was a big part of my life growing up, playing Field Hockey, Basketball and Softball. It was early on when my girls starting going to school, that I became an active parent and community member; Coaching Athletics, Girl Scouts and being a part of the originators of the Franklin Recreation Department itself. We have come so far with being able to bring more organized activities and opportunities to the children and residents of Franklin through our initiatives and I am so proud to be a part of this team! In my spare time, I am a full time CT/Xray Technologist/Supervisor at NMC and my husband and I own and operate Green Mountain Stables (a horse boarding facility) in West Swanton. A few other things about me: I love the outdoors, I have completed 1 Spartan Beast Race, I love hiking, kayaking and running... however, you won't see me in a princess outfit like my cohort Paula!
